Assuming I’ve not disappeared completely off the radar ….

I’ve just recovered from a dislocated shoulder and badly sprained wrist caused by a blackout and subsequent fall from my computer chair.

The doctors were concerned that I’d developed some kind of epilepsy, since this was the second blackout I’d had. Thankfully, they were wrong … I had instances of tussive syncope – fainting caused by coughing which then triggered a rapid fall in blood supply to the brain. I was warned off using my PC whilst all the testing was carried out – not difficult considering my injuries.

My current medication didn’t help – one encourages coughing, another lowers blood pressure!

I’m fine now and off for a couple of week’s holiday tomorrow – now that I can carry the cases! I’ll be back on DA properly in a fortnight.

Other news: the grandchild/step-grandchild count has increased to eight [five girls, two boys] since last I was here: newbies – Lola Mae, Ilayda Ayşe, and Alexander Jack.

Yesterday I had my 66th Birthday.
